DOT-approved or commercial aggregates—which to use?
Phoenix offers many commercial grade aggregates that are in many ways similar or superior to DOT-approved aggregates which also may be more cost effective. Hence, the functionality of the aggregate is important—A DOT-approved aggregate for asphalt may not be the best for a drainage application or for a shopping mall parking lot subbase.
